The iMat International Conference is one of the most significant gatherings of Materials, Metallurgy, and Mining experts to present their scientific achievements and new technologies in the Middle East.
This conference for the first time organized and held by the Iranian Association of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi and the Iranian Foundry Scientific Association under the supervision of Dr. Jalal Hejazi in 2007. This event aims to exchange ideas and knowledge between the different disciplines for facilitating research and interdisciplinary collaborations. In 2012, iMat conference was held internationally and provided a perfect platform for scientists, engineers, students, researchers, and experts from all over the world to meet and discuss recent innovations.
iMat2017 gathered more than 1000 researchers from all over the world at the Olympic Hotel in Tehran, and more than 550 articles were presented in two days. Moreover, the iMat2017 exhibition also provided an opportunity for metallurgical industries (domestic and international brands) to discuss mutual collaborative cooperation and share their latest information.
iMat2018 took a new step forward to provide the platform for establishing more connections between the mining and metallurgy industries and other experts. Holding large exhibitions of materials engineering and metallurgy beside the conference, provided the opportunity for participants to meet business delegates and sponsors to share their vision and get funded for their further studies. During this conference, more than 650 scientific and industrial articles were presented.
The last event (iMat2019) was held on a large international scale with 25 foreign guests from different countries including Germany, Turkey, Spain, Romania, Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, and Canada. During this event, over 800 papers were received, and eventually, 450 papers were accepted (either oral or poster) for presentation at the conference.
We are glad to invite you to The 9th International Conference on Materials and Metallurgical Engineering (iMat2020), which is going to be held from 10 Nov. to 11 Nov. 2020. This event will be an excellent opportunity for research scholars, delegates and students to interact and share their experience and cutting-edge knowledge in the fields of Material Science and Engineering and Mining Engineering.
